Today is the day!

Well it's almost here!!!!!!!

We will be heading about 4:30pm or so to head to the hospital!!!! I was really excited yesterday but today it's defiantly more nerves-I have butterflies!

I didn't sleep very good, I had some pretty bad menstrual like cramps and I was having those back pains like I had earlier in the pregnancy I have been getting those lately.

I'm hoping I'm more dilated today but we will see.

Todd and I watched a movie last night and went to bed pretty early - our last night just the 2 of us for a few years ;)

He is excited to meet his Ally Cat and I can't believe soon we will get to see what she looks like!

I can't wait to start my new life being a mom and having a daughter!

Grandma, Pops and Big Brother Cole will coming in town Friday evening so Cole will hopefully get to meet his little sister Sat morning :)

Due Date

Well it looks like Alessandra will be arriving on her due date :) Friday April 18th

I am getting induced Thursday night, going to the hospital about 5:00pm so she should be arriving sometime Friday :)

I was 1 cm dilated and my cervix was very soft so there is a chance i could go before then.

We are so excited but also getting nervous.

now just to get through these next couple of days!

I am finally getting over my cold so maybe she will be ready to meet us soon :)

This is what I saw when i went into the nursery the other day our cat Tootsie!!!!!!!!! I don't think she will want anything to do with that crib when the baby comes!

Todd says she just read the sign (daddys little princess) and thought it was her bed :)

Check up

I went to the docs today, I have been fighting a cold all weekend he said it's the flu, and wants me to try to keep her in for bit longer, he says giving birth while having the flu will not be fun.

So I'm on a 3 day antibiotic, he didn't do an exam because he thought that might get labor going, he did do another ultrasound her heartbeat was 154 :) and we got to see her sucking her thumb :) Also she is still weighing 7 lbs.

He has induction date set for April 21 if I don't go before then.

I have been having some cramping though this afternoon so who knows! but I would like to get over this cold first so i guess when the time is right :)

Big Girl

Had a doc appt today they did an ultrasound and looks like she is 7 lbs!

He said to watch my carbs because I could still have a couple weeks and she could gain another pound!

her head is down, her heart looked good and the fluid around her looked good.

She had the hic ups and also showed us one last time that she is a girl!

I go back in one week but he said to have your bags packed. so we will see.

Crib

the green on the wall actually matches the green in the bedding perfectily (just doesn't look that way in the pic)

Also the daddys little princess sign will go above the crib just haven't hung it yet :)

WOW 3 weeks to go :)

I have been EXTREMELY swollen but have been really busy at the salon :)

We also got our crib that Grandpa Bob bought us (It's beautiful!) just waiting to take pics till the dresser gets put up

I go to the doc Monday so will update more then :)

Doc visit

Monday I had a doc appt I didn't get to see my doc he was leaving when i was coming in to deliver a baby :)

I saw the other doc though - my blood pressure was good, her heart beat was good, her head is still down :) My strep B test also came back negative, so I will not need antibiotics when I deliver

They said if I would go into labor now they would not stop it, that I'm far enough along

I go next Tuesday for an ultrasound to see how big she is then at 38 weeks they will do an exam.

The past few days i have been really swollen I have cankles :( She is so low that my pants are having a hard time staying up even my stretchy pants ;)

We have Cole this week for his spring break I think Todd and him will be putting our crib together today (if it gets delivered like they said) Also a funny Cole story:

I was getting ready to take Todd to work yesterday and was telling him what the doc had said about if I go into labor they wouldn't stop it Cole was on the computer (big surprise) and asks where will you go, I said the hospital he asks how will you get there I said your dad will take me, you should of saw his face he says "MY DAD WILL BE AT WORK!" will i need to call 911 ! (because i was taking Todd to work) I had to explain to him it wont' go that fast and your dad will have plenty of time to get home to take me but i wish i would of had a camera his face was priceless!

1 month left

well exactly one more month till my due date!

I''m super excited and super nervous all at the same time.

Am I ready mentally, physically?
Do we have everything we will need?
Do I have things prepared enough at the salon?
Will I be a good mom?
Will I know what to do?
just lots of thoughts going through my head.

I'm also getting so excited to see her little face, hands, toes, Hold her, kiss her put her in all her cute little clothes. I also can't wait to see Todd and Cole hold her!

I can't believe only one more month or so ;)

It's been a fun 8 months so far with you getting to know all of your kicks and rolls. I can't wait until we get to meet officially :) I already love you with all of my heart and can't wait till we are all a family.

Early doc appt

I went to the doctor this morning wasn't supposed to go until Thursday.

Yesterday I started having a lot of pressure down low felt like her head was coming out ;) I started getting menstrual like cramps about 3:00 but they didn't really hurt.

As the day went on the cramps got worse I would say a 7 on a scale of 1-10 so about 10:00 I called my doc, he said to take two tylenol drink lots of water and try to get some rest and to come and see him in the morning, but if they got worse to call him

Well..... went to the doc and he said I have a severe bladder infection. He put me on amoxicillin (I have to make sure i don't get hives or anything since I'm allergic to penicillin) but right now thats all he can give me I am allowed to come to Ohio this weekend but then that's it.

My blood pressure was good, babies heartbeat was good he couldn't believe how much she was moving :)

He says she will be a tiny one which is good because I'm built tiny.

I gained 2 more lbs so I'm up to 126 I go and see him in another 2 weeks

He was going to do a pelvic exam but only did the strep B test for today.

So no baby, but last night Todd and I thought we would me making a trip to the hospital.

Glad she is staying in there longer I want her to be in there as long as she needs so she is healthy

34 weeks

I think she has dropped but not for sure, but when I walk it feels like she is going to fall out hehe

And I'm officially waddling and now understand why pregno people take a few mintutes to get out of a chair. (I always they thought they were being a bit dramaful) but now I get it.

I have been feeling good, tired because I don't get alot of sleep, as soon as I get comfortable I feel like I have to go to the bathroom. And to roll over from one side to the other takes me about 5 min with moaning and groaning. Dexter (our cat) is not happy with me! has not been able to sleep with me for a few months now ;)

NY baby shower

My friends threw me a shower over the weekend they did a great job and I thought it was so nice that they did that for me :)

She has so many clothes - lucky girl! we are pretty much set the only big things we need are the carrier/stroller and dresser/changing table Grandpa Bob bought her the crib :)

Doc Appt

had a check up today :)

blood pressure was good, I gained 2 more lbs so I am now 122.

Babies heartbeat was good and her head is still down.

I go back in another 2 weeks then every week.

I have been feeling good just really tired not sleeping at night because of my back hurting so bad and not being able to get comfortable but not much longer to go I think it will go by fast!!!!!!!!!

It's been getting busy at the salon so that helps the days go fast :)

32 Weeks

I can't believe how much I have grown in just 2 weeks! I have 8 more weeks to go OH MY! ;)

Ohio Baby Shower

I had my baby shower on Saturday, my sisters and mom threw it for me they did a great job!

I got lots of stuff :) lots of clothes I can't wait to dress her! The last pic is just some of the stuff I got!

I have been feeling good my back has started to hurt again the past few days and feeling tired and short of breath!

when I drop something I dread having to bend over and pick it up!

Check up

I had a doc check up today

I have gained 18 lbs total so far which they are happy about they are hoping a gain 1 lb a week for the remainder.

Blood pressure was good :)

I passed my 3 hour glucose test, well failed one out of the three you have to fail 2 out of the three to be considered to have that diabetes. My fasting numbers were a little low but no concern, they said if I get a little shakey to eat something sweet :)

Her heartbeat was good she even kicked the lil stethescope off my belly ;)

I go back in 2 weeks for another check up.

I have been VERY forgetful lately!!!!! They sent me in to pee in the cup and I just started going almost totally forgot about peeing in the cup! hehe

30 weeks

I went for my 3 hour glucose test should know the results Monday or Tuesday when I go to the doc for my next check up.

I also got the paint for the nursery Ralph Lauren Sage Sweater :)
We will paint this weekend :)

I am getting into the uncomfortable part of the pregnancy getting out of bed or the car I feel like an old lady even putting on shoes, you just can't bend like normal!
I also at times think when she moves I can make out her feet :)

I can't believe I'm at 30 weeks!!!!!!!

Doc Visit

I wasn't supposed to go till Tuesday but I was having some pains and other things that they wanted to see me today
Started out yesterday I had my Glucose test then came home from work last night and I threw up and had diarrhea but only one episode I have also had this sharp pain above my belly i thought it was her foot or something but the pain has gotten worse and more constant. I have also noticed blurry vision at times over the week.

So I called the doc and he wanted to see me today

This is what he said

First of all my glucose test came back I failed :( so I have to go for the 3 hour test but my doc says they do come back abnormal sometimes and is thinking that i will be one of those but still need to get the test done

2nd I am anemic so I need to take Iron and start eating food with more Iron. That is why I have had a blurry vision lately. He says the baby looks good - her heartbeat was good but she needs to gain some more weight she is a tiny thing so I need to eat more spinach, broccoli, and red meat.

3rd my sharp pain above my belly and my back pain could be a gall stone but he said nothing can be done about it if that is what it is no doc will do anything about it with me being pregnant :(

I go in two weeks for another check up.

My blood pressure was good which really relieved them ! and me!!!!!! that's what i was worried about.

So now to deal with these pains and get my iron in me and some weight on the lil one.

28 Weeks

28 Weeks
Third trimester begins this week I can't believe it

Still feeling good besides my back - It has really been bothering me but I'm dealing

Today I have had an emotional day just wanting to cry at anything! Hate my maternity pants! They must think that everybodys butt grows along with there belly! I look like I'm wearing grandma jeans and I hate it but what can I do!

I'm starting to get that nervousness they talk about in the books
I'm getting scared, what it will be like giving birth? What will it be like having a daughter?
but yet at the same time I can't wait to meet her, hold her, look into her eyes and love her.
Just a lot going through my head right now. It's getting very real and very close :)

Nesting

I have been Nesting :)

Well I thought I was just organizing the house and doing things I have put off since we moved in but my sis informed me I'm nesting I can't stop either!!!!!!!!!

The babies room is finally all emptied out so now just to paint and get the furniture!!!!

other then my back KILLING me (hoping it's not another kidney stone) I feel good I can REALLY feel her moving and she never stops! she is going to be an active one I think :)

Superstar

Alessandra is a superstar she was on the big screen today :)

Went to the specialist and they did an ultrasound and Todd and I got to see her on a plasma tv :)

Her heart (we got to see all four chambers), kidneys and brain looked great :)

She weighs 2 lbs and she is defiantly a girl!

The Doc said she just wants my doctor to really be checking my blood pressure the last trimester but other then that me and baby look great. She has no worries. She said I'm like Vanilla (not really sure what she meant by that) but I think it's good ;)

Doc visit

I went to the doc yesterday for my monthly check up :)

The heartbeat was really good, doc said she was being very active.

I have gained 15 lbs since I got pregnant.

My blood pressure was good.

He is sending me to see a specialist in Buffalo to get everything checked out with my kidneys, even though my urologist said things were fine, my doc would feel better if I got another opinion from someone who deals with pregnancy. He just wants to make sure there is nothing I need to be doing different the 3rd Trimester and that he doesn't need to be doing anything different during delivery. He is almost positive she will have him just really watch my blood pressure but would feel more comfortable if she checked things out. I'm glad about that, because I don't really like my urologist, and am glad my doc is being thorough. She will probably do an ultrasound - yeah :) we can double check that she is a little girl ;)
